The Faraglioni rising from the sea, the Blue Grotto, lunch at a beach club reachable only by boat and an evening in the Piazzetta: Capri is best seen from the deck of a private yacht. A Capri yacht charter lets you discover the island at your own pace, away from the ferries and the crowds, and combine it with Positano, Amalfi and the bays of the Sorrento Peninsula. We know these waters well: our motor yacht Sea Sons has spent many summers between Capri and the Amalfi Coast.

Why see Capri by private yacht

In high season Capri receives thousands of day visitors, and the most beautiful places – the Faraglioni, the sea caves and the south coast – are on the water. With a private yacht and crew you skip the queues at Marina Grande, swim in quiet coves, reach beach clubs and restaurants directly by tender and go ashore only when you want to. It is the most comfortable and the most exclusive way to experience the island.

The highlights of a Capri boat tour

The Faraglioni and Marina Piccola

The three famous sea stacks on the south side of the island. Pass through the arch of the Faraglione di Mezzo, then anchor off Marina Piccola for a swim in crystal-clear water.

The Blue Grotto and the sea caves

On the north-west coast, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) is visited on small rowing boats when the sea is calm. Around the island you can also explore the Green Grotto, the White Grotto and the Grotta dei Santi.

Punta Carena and the west coast

The lighthouse of Punta Carena and the rocky coast of Anacapri offer some of the best sunsets around the island, far from the busiest anchorages.

Lunch at a beach club

Capri’s legendary beach clubs and seaside restaurants are often easiest to reach by sea: the crew takes you ashore by tender while the yacht waits at anchor.

A day charter in Capri is ideal for a tour of the island with swim stops and lunch. With a week on board you can combine Capri with the Amalfi Coast, Ischia and Procida. Here is a classic route:

Suggested 5-day route: Capri and the Amalfi Coast

Day 1 – Embark in Naples, Sorrento or Marina di Stabia and cruise to Capri; first swim at the Faraglioni. Day 2 – Tour of the island, the Blue Grotto and an evening in the Piazzetta. Day 3 – Nerano and the Bay of Ieranto, then on to Positano. Day 4 – Amalfi, Furore and the Li Galli islets. Day 5 – Return via Punta Campanella for disembarkation. For a full week, read our Amalfi Coast yacht charter guide.

Yes. Day charters with crew are very popular, usually with a tour of the island, swim stops at the Faraglioni and lunch ashore or on board.

Yes, when the sea is calm. The yacht waits nearby and guests enter the grotto on the small rowing boats that operate the visits.

Where does a Capri yacht charter start?

Usually from Naples, Sorrento, Marina di Stabia or Marina Grande in Capri.

Can we combine Capri with the Amalfi Coast?

Absolutely: Positano is about an hour away by yacht, and a week allows you to see Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Ischia and Procida.

Perché vedere Capri in yacht privato

I Faraglioni e Marina Piccola
