Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Tropez: the French Riviera is the birthplace of modern yachting and still its most glamorous stage. A French Riviera yacht charter combines legendary harbours, beach clubs, islands and some of the most exclusive events of the year, all within a few hours of cruising. As a yacht charter broker, Navawave selects the right crewed yacht or superyacht for your dates from a trusted network of owners on the Côte d'Azur.

Why charter a yacht on the Côte d'Azur

Few coastlines offer so much variety in so few miles: the art de vivre of Cap Ferrat and Antibes, the energy of Cannes and Monaco, the beach clubs of Pampelonne and the protected islands of Lérins and Porquerolles. A private yacht lets you enjoy all of it while avoiding the traffic of the coastal road in summer.

Highlights of a French Riviera charter

Monaco

Port Hercule, the Casino Square and some of the best restaurants on the coast. Monaco is also one of the most convenient places to embark.

Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cap Ferrat

One of the most beautiful natural harbours of the Mediterranean, with calm anchorages below the villas of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Antibes, Cannes and the Lérins Islands

Swim off Cap d'Antibes, spend an evening in Cannes and anchor between Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, two quiet islands just off the Croisette.

Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne

The famous village and the beach clubs of Pampelonne, best reached by tender while the yacht waits at anchor.

Events on the Riviera

The Côte d'Azur hosts some of the most sought-after events for a yacht charter: the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix in May, and the Monaco Yacht Show in September. Yachts for these dates are booked many months in advance.

Which yacht to choose

The Riviera is the home of the superyacht. Motor yachts from 25 to 50 metres and above are the most popular choice, ideally with a chase boat for transfers to beach clubs and restaurants. We also propose sailing yachts and catamarans for a quieter week. See our fleet and network.

Best time to charter on the French Riviera

From May to October. May and June combine pleasant weather with the big events; July and August are the busiest months; September is ideal for quieter anchorages and warm sea.

Embarkation ports and airports

The main bases are Monaco, Antibes, Cannes and Nice, all close to Nice Côte d'Azur airport. Helicopter transfers between Nice, Monaco and Saint-Tropez can be arranged through our concierge services.
